Shipping Policy

Acorn Nursery is a small, family-operated nursery in Tennessee. Many of our plants are sold as seasonal preorders and are dug, prepared, and shipped at the appropriate time for each plant type.

Bearded Iris

Bearded iris rhizomes are fresh dug from our growing fields. Digging and shipping generally begin in late July and continue through September. Orders are shipped in the order they can be safely dug and prepared, with consideration given to weather and growing conditions.

Because our iris are growing in the field when orders are placed, estimated inventory may occasionally change during digging. If we are unable to fill an ordered variety, we will contact you regarding a substitution or refund.

Other Plants

Shipping times for daylilies, Japanese iris, Louisiana iris, peonies, and other plants may vary according to the plant and season. Any special shipping information will be included in the product description when applicable.

Combined Orders

Plants with different digging or shipping seasons may be shipped separately. We may hold an order briefly when it is practical to combine plants into one shipment.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges and any current shipping promotions are shown at checkout. Promotional shipping offers may change throughout the season.

Shipping Notifications

You will receive a shipping confirmation and tracking information when your order is prepared for shipment.

Problems With Your Order

Please inspect your plants when they arrive. If there is a problem with your order or plants are damaged in transit, contact us promptly and include photographs when possible. We want the opportunity to review the problem and make it right.

Local Pickup

Local pickup is available for selected orders and plants. Pickup availability and instructions will be provided when local pickup is selected or arranged.
